BEE BALM

Bee Balm (Monarda fistulosa) is a native North American perennial wildflower also known as Wild Bergamot.

It's nectar filled flowers cover the prairies at our farm in a rapture of violet flames from June to August, providing food for a variety of native pollinators. 

Due to it's thymol content, Bee Balm has delicate flavour notes of a floral oregano and mint, and is a gentle diaphoretic and anti-septic with a long history of use as hot or cold infusion, skin care ingredient, seasoning spice.

Flowers are hand harvested from wild prairies at our farm.
