KUKICHA TWIG TEA
Kukicha – Japanese Twig Tea
Light, nutty, and uniquely refreshing, Kukicha (also known as “twig tea”) is a traditional Japanese green tea made from the stems, stalks, and twigs of the tea plant. Harvested during the production of Sencha or Gyokuro, Kukicha offers a wonderfully smooth and mildly sweet flavor, with significantly lower caffeine than leaf-based teas—making it an ideal choice for gentle daily sipping.
Unlike typical green teas, Kukicha’s composition of stems gives it a creamy, slightly roasted character with delicate notes of toasted grain, chestnut, and fresh grass. Its balance of amino acids and antioxidants provides both calm focus and digestive comfort.
