    SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

    Sale price$1,000.00

Saint Michael the Archangel is one of the most prominent and venerated angels in Christian tradition, particularly known as a protector, warrior, and leader of the heavenly hosts. He is an archangel, meaning a chief angel, and his name means “Who is like God?”—a rhetorical question that expresses his loyalty and humility before God.

In the Bible, Michael appears in several key passages. In the Book of Revelation (12:7–9), he leads the heavenly army against the dragon, interpreted as Satan, and casts him out of heaven. In the Book of Daniel (10:13, 21 and 12:1), Michael is depicted as the protector of Israel and a powerful spiritual being in the service of God. In the Letter of Jude (1:9), he contends with the devil over the body of Moses.

Saint Michael is traditionally seen as the leader of God’s army in the ongoing battle against evil. He is regarded as a protector of the Church and the faithful, a guide of souls to heaven at the hour of death, and a symbol of spiritual warfare and divine justice.

He is the patron saint of soldiers, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, security guards, the sick, the dying, and those in danger. He is also the patron of mariners, paratroopers, and grocers, as well as the protector of entire countries and cities, including Germany, France, the city of Kyiv, and many others.

His feast day is celebrated on September 29, together with the archangels Gabriel and Raphael, in the Roman Catholic Church.

In Christian art, Saint Michael is often shown wearing armor, wielding a sword or spear, and standing victorious over a dragon or demon, symbolizing Satan.
